Welcome to the Frosted Designs Crafting Room Blog Hop!!
You should have arrived here from Sassy's Blog. If not, go back and start out at Frosted Designs, so you can visit each of the DT members' Blogs. When the idea first came up to do this Hop, I wasn't immediately on board, because I didn't think my space was "fancy" enough. But then I reconsidered, because I know a lot of Ladies who make do with sharing their kitchen or dining room tables as scrap areas or play rooms/offices with their children and husbands. Or some just work on the floor!! My space may not be featured in Better Homes and Gardens, but at least I have a designated area, that I can use anytime I need to!! :)
First up is a picture of what my desk looks like when I am working. And I would say that my desk is only about 50% of messy in this photo...it has seen much worse!! :)
We were also asked to share at least one organizational tip, but I have several that I will share along with my photos. These first three pics are just some general shots of my craft space. It looks like mass chaos...but it is organized chaos!! :)
I saw this fun idea for brad storage a while back, but can't remember the Blog where I originally saw it. But, I thought it was so cute and had to give it a try. Just pick up a cork board at any of your local office or craft stores and use it to stick in all of those brads you have. It is an easy way to find what you are looking for and it makes a great little decorative piece for your space.
I have to admit that I have a "slight" addiction to Thickers and teeny alpha stickers. My collection started growing pretty fast, so I had to find a way to store them, but also have easy access. Thank goodness for the clip rings at Michael's!! These are awesome, because you can slide all of your Thicker packs or Alphas onto the clips and then clip them to whatever spot works for you. And the best part is, you can just flip through your packages, open up the bottom, and slide out your Thickers. Once you are done with them, just slip them back into the package and you never have to take the ring down.
And last up, is a great way to upcylce and find storage for your scrappy supplies. I am pretty frugal about spending money on "pretty" storage, because I would much rather spend my money on scrappy supplies. So one idea I've found, for storing buttons and small items, is recycling Crystal Light containers. The larger packets come in these great cylinder containers, with pop on lids. I just keep them right at hand on top of my shelf and when I go to a crop, I can pack them in my bag without worrying about them spilling everywhere!
Here is the line up for the entire Hop, in case you get lost along the way:

Hi Ashley ! I was already a follower of your blog, as I absolutely love every project you share on your blog so I'm happy to see where you create all those beautiful layouts ! The wall color of your scrap space is much similar to mine :-) Love it ! Thanks for sharing !
I always knew those Crystal Light containers would be good for something crafty! I have made office gifts out of mine as well. Wrap in decorative paper, fill with candy and pop on a gift tag!

I agree with you, that if I had $50.00 to spend, I would rather spend it on supplies rather than storage, plus I love upcycling something instead! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
Love the table. It reminds' me of the way I have mine set up (same table as well) I want to try and make a table skirt for mine just have to get off my butt and do it. lol I love how you added the long shelf above the table. Would totally make what you use the most right there and ready. Thanks for sharing! Christina

awesome space Ashley! I am addicted to Thickers and Mini alphas too and like your idea for storing them. I also use the Crystal Light containers! I like that they are oval, I put markers in them and they can lay on their sides without rolling away! Thanks for sharing your space!

Ashley, I share your addiction to teeny letters...thickers, I don't have too bad...but I do love those tiny letters! Great storage tip for them too! I love your organized chaos too! That's totally how I roll! As for the Crystal light containers...we don't have those here in Canada...just the little packets...well, not anywhere in Williams Lake anyway, but it's a great idea! Love your space!
Super fun space! It looks loke everything is right at your fingertips.

As long as you know where everything is that is all that matters!!

I love seeing where you create your awesome "works of art"! Thanks for the brad storage idea and I love how you store your thickers! Funny thing, I use the same system to store my DMC floss or my cross stitch....looks like I'm going to have to buy more for my thickers!
A great space! I like how big your work station is. I think it's time for me to get a bigger table :)
i too would rather spend my money on crafty things so i try to find ways to upcycle for my storage and organizing. i also love crystal light containers...i do have a habit of taking my bf's containers before they are empty! i mix all of his packets together in one tube...sometimes i am in need of a container and just cannot wait! love your room! <3
Fabulous brad storage idea...I may have to lift your idea for my craft room! Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your space with us! :)
Thanks for sharing your crafty space!
