If you have never been over to check out Easy Scrapbook Pages, you definitely should take the time to head over. The purpose of ESP, is to provide you with amazing layouts and then break those layouts down into 8 steps or less, for you to re-create them. Here are the steps I used in creating "Perfectly Poised":
1. Print and trim a single photo with a very narrow white border (3.5″ x 5″ or 4″ x 6″). Lay it on subtle, tone-on-tone patterned paper about 1″ from left edge of canvas and 2″ from top edge of canvas.
2. Cut a 5.5″ x 5″ piece of subtly patterned paper, and place it behind your
photo. Add a small tag and doily to the right of your photo.
3. Use small letter stickers and a larger alpha to add your title over the top
of the doily. (You’re layering in a downward diagonal on the page.)
4. Embellish around the doily with theme-specific embellishments (here
butterflies). If you can substitute a decorative brad or epoxy for an alpha in
the title, do it.
5. Use a ruler to draw lines on the background paper to the right of the photo
and doily cluster for journaling. Keep a jagged edge to the journaling lines
(rather than perfectly aligned). Handwrite your journaling.
6. Add an embellishment cluster at top right of the canvas. Use round punched
paper and strips of patterned paper.
7. Add an embellishment cluster that includes embellishing word strips at
bottom right of canvas (to complete the diagonal line of elements). Tuck in
additional small layers around photo.
8. Cover your photo and add a little spray mist to the background, by removing
the nozzle from the mist and lightly tapping over your page.
So, if your Scrapbooking mojo has gone on vacation lately, or you are just looking for some new inspiration, take a little time and head over to Easy Scrapbook Pages. You will find a ton of inspirational layouts and quick and easy steps to re-create those pages!!
**I also have two other items of "business" to share today.**
In my total flakiness, I completely forgot to mention on my Blog that I have a layout published in the July Issue of ScrapStreet magazine. ScrapStreet is a FREE e-zine and they publish a new issue every month. Check out the July Issue HERE.
And I also wanted to let you know, that Allison Davis has decided not to continue with the Sketch Support Blog. I served on the Team starting in January of this year and after the May reveals, Allison announced that the Blog would take a break. She made an announcement on her personal Blog this week, that she had decided not to continue with the Sketch Support Blog. You can read her announcement HERE. And I would like to add just a little Public Service Announcement!! :) One of the disappointing factors Allison pointed out, was the lack of comments on Blog posts. We are ALL definitely busy people, but I would like to encourage you...and me...to leave a comment, when we visit Challenge Blogs, Sketch Blogs, or any informative Scrapbook websites. The owners of the Blogs like to know that people are interested in their content and appreciate the work they put into their posts. So next time you check out a site, just take a second to leave a short little comment. You may not think that your comments make a difference, but they really do!! :)

Love the layout.
Lovely LO. Thanks for sharing about Easy Scrapbook Pages, I'm off to check it off now.
I have to agree with Allison... You know I am all about leaving comments :) I love love love your lo!!! That photo is beyond PRECIOUS and loveeeeeeeeeeeee the butterflies and the little circle piece you used as the "O"!
Ashley that layout is so adorable! I love the soft color scheme you chose. :)
Such a sweet layout ! Thanks for sharing about ESP, will surely check it out ! Thank you alos for the totally appropriate gentle reminder to leave comments on blog posts. I read a lot of them but don't always leave a comment although I do appreciate a lot what I read and see. Will be more diligent about this because for sure, how can bloggers know our appreciation if we don't share it hey ? I hope you continue your blog for a very long time because it's in my top favorites !
Another pretty one! She looks adorable all posed like that :) I love the MME paper, and those butterflies add that perfect girly touch. Love the tag & bow, too! Sorry to hear about Sketch Support...I agree about the comments, too...people love to know that their blog has been visited.
First of all, your layout is so cute! I love the soft colors and how it all flows together so nicely! And your little girl is such a princess! :)
Congrats on having a layout published in the ScrapStreet Magazine! Your list is getting pretty long! I am loving seeing your pages everywhere!
And I totally agree with you on how important it is to leave comments! I know that I love when people leave comments on my blog and I am one to try to do the same for blogs I visit. I know I have appreciated your comments Ashley!
Adorable! I love the colors on this!
So pretty Ashley :) I love the pops of red and all the little details like the honeycomb fussy cutting!
Great reminder to comment on blogs that I visit.

Ashley, this is sooo cute! love all your little details, makes me want to scrap sooo bad...miss my house and scrap room, I hear the power is back on at my neighbors so I am hoping when I go home tomorrow mine will be too :)
really like the touch of butterflies, GREAT colors--BEAUTIFUL layouts!
Your layout is so pretty. It is sad about Sketch Support...I am going to miss being part of such a wonderful team.
Hi Ashley..your layout is so lovely and feminine with the pretty butterflies, the soft colors, and I love the doily to ground your title..
a good point you have made about leaving comments on the actual sketch or challenge blog, I know I am guilty of forgetting to do this...I try to keep up with fellow scrappers blogs and commenting but forget at times to comment on the challenge blogs..that's a good reminder!
Lovely page! So much to take in, love all the layering and details and totally impressed that you could describe how to make it in 8 steps. I will miss Sketch Support, but glad I was able to be a part of the team for at least a little while. So nice to have you on the GIS Team, feel like I have a friend there! :)
Such a precious photo and a beautiful page just filled with so many sweet and lovely details, Ashley!
Another gorgeous layout...love the layering, the doily, spray mist, the fussy cutting in the upper right, butterflies, and the detailed 8 step instructions! I will also miss the Sketch Support blog, but completely understand her disappointment in the lack of comments to the blog. Thanks for more inspiration!
Love your layout, Ashley! Thanks for the step by step instructions. And the reminder about commenting in blows. I'm a big fan and check yours daily, but seldom leave smote. Thanks for your hard work & daily posts!
Beautiful layout Ashley. Love your papers choices and the butterfly justs pops out at you!! Love it!!! Congrats on the pub in Scrapstreet! Will have to wonder on over and take a look. So sorry to hear about Sketch Support. I understand Allison's decision 100 percent. With all that goes on running a challenge blog, comments are nice to see, but so many times they get passed by. Too much is centered around what's the prize this week. Times sure have changed . . .
